Privacy Policy

FightMe.live is an entertainment site. People type one-line opinions and the site generates a playful two-sided argument that other people can vote on and comment on. We collect as little information as we can get away with while keeping the site usable and abuse-resistant.
What we collect
- The opinion you submit. This is the whole point of the site. It's stored in our database and shown publicly on the fight page.
- Your votes and comments. Stored and displayed publicly. We don't attach a name — there are no user accounts on FightMe.live.
- A salted hash of your IP address and browser user agent. We never store the raw values. The hash lets us reduce duplicate voting and abusive resubmissions without identifying you.
- A random anonymous voter ID stored in a long-lived cookie and your session, used only to recognize you as the same person across visits so duplicate-vote and one-comment-per-fight rules work.
- Basic server logs (request paths, response codes, timestamps) for normal operations and abuse investigation. Retained briefly.
Where your text goes
When you submit an opinion or a comment, the text may be sent to a third-party processor (OpenAI) for two reasons: (1) to generate the two-sided fight content, and (2) to run automated moderation against it. We do not send your IP, fingerprint, cookies, or any other identifying information along with it — only the text itself. Read OpenAI's policies at openai.com/policies.
Cookies
We use a session cookie (required for the site to work and to protect form submissions) and one anonymous voter-ID cookie (described above). No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics that follow you across the web.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data.
- We don't run advertising trackers.
- We don't link your votes/comments to a real-world identity. There are no accounts.
Removal
If you want a fight you started or a comment you posted removed, email us and describe the content well enough that we can find it. Because there are no accounts, we can't verify "ownership" — but we'll honor reasonable requests.
Children
FightMe.live is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has submitted content, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the current version. Substantive changes will be obvious — we're not going to spring "we sell your data now" on anyone in a stealth update.
